What is the solution for college dropout problem?

United States education system is going through a terrible time. It has been experiencing one of the highest college dropouts in the world. As many as 40% of the students drop out of college in U.S. each year owing to lack of funds and rising living costs. In the past three decades the college costs have risen by 400% whereas the average income has only increased by 150%. Now more students are working and studying than ever before. A number of students have been working for more than 20 hours a week which has been conflicting with their studies.

As a result online education has emerged as a flexible option for working students. Online college education offers flexibility and even though there are deadlines to be met you don't end up getting tied up to fixed class timings and can study as and when you like and from any place you want as long as you have an internet access. It gives you an opportunity to receive course materials through various forms of media and interact with fellow students and professors beyond e-mail. This helps students to earn a degree for themselves without following the traditional campus schedule. I will be talking about online college education in my future posts, till then ceeya.
